Hello! My name is Ana, and I am the Founder + CEO of Jigsaw Collective.

I started Jigsaw Collective after working for six years as an independent nonprofit fundraising and strategy consultant and 14 years before that working in the nonprofit sector.

Throughout my career, I experienced firsthand how consultants like me connect to work opportunities and connect to each other. And this is what I’ve learned:

There is no place for nonprofits to go to find consultant recommendations, and the demand for part-time/short-term talent is constant.
More individuals are transitioning to self-employment for greater flexibility and to focus on what they love.
Mentorship and connections with other independent consultants/freelancers/fractional executives are priceless.

I surveyed more than a dozen independent consultants to learn more about their experience and what they needed to be successful and found that 100% wanted peer support and thought partnership, 85% sought partnership on projects, and more than 70% wanted more information and resources to help them manage their business.

There’s a tremendous opportunity to harness the collective knowledge and expertise of individuals who have transitioned to self-employment. By facilitating connections, mutual support, and collaboration with mission-driven organizations, we can create a vibrant talent ecosystem that will propel nonprofit success.
